The makers of 8-Bit and Oasis are bringing us a new IPA within the next few weeks. We were very excited to secure a sample can ahead of the release to let everyone know our take on this new brew. Look for Tallgrass Ethos IPA in four pack cans to replace their current IPA within the next few weeks.
Ethos pours out a murky golden color with an average of two fingers of off white head. This murkiness makes me think lots of dry hopping is going on. This idea is confirmed in the smell of strong pine, resin, and grapefruit. A large amount of all of the C hops seem to be at work here. The flavor follows the aroma with a moderate hop bitterness and a huge hop flavor. It seems like they hit this beer with hops at all parts of the brewing process and it shows in a great way. The mouthfeel is moderate with a lively carbonation. Overall this is a big time winner. We can't wait to see this in our craft beer can cooler real soon. Very impressive.
