This is one of those beers that when you hear about the combination of flavors it makes you want to try it the day it comes out. So that's what happened last Friday night while we were closing up. Eli and I decided to split some of the newest in the hugely successful lineup of Yeti beers from Great Divide.

This one is very bold with the dark fruit roast and hops up front. The raisins used in the brewing process accentuate the dark malt character while a huge dose of hop bitterness and roast keeps this beer aggressive. Despite all of the bold flavors, Oatmeal Yeti finishes remarkably smooth with a thick velvety cocoa feel. There's a lot going on in this beer and it all works remarkably well. This is another huge winner. I'm so happy that Great Divide didn't leave along with Avery when there was a distribution shakeup recently.
