It has been an crazy ride of hoppy beer releases this spring as most breweries are catching on how much well they sell when done right. Double Trouble is not a part of this trend, as it is one of the OGs that started the hoppy spring seasonal focus.

Every year when this beer comes out is a great chance to revisit one of the best Double IPAs in the world. When split off into two glasses, Double Trouble pours out a very clear golden color. The aroma is resin and clean citrus with a hint of bready sweetness. The flavor is surprisingly an even mix of sweet white bread and huge grapefruit and resin flavor. There are tons of hops going on, but this beer is not one dimensionally hop focused and definitely not what I would call malty. Dry finish. Very good harmony. Founders never ceases to amaze me and Double Trouble in all its glory is no different this year
