Quick Take: Dark Horse Artic Dekoorc Eert

Single hop IPAs bring out the homebrewing geek in me, so when Dark Horse announced they were releasing a series of single hop versions of their Crooked Tree IPA that included Citra and Falconer's Flight I was pretty excited. The last single hop series that I got really excited about was from Mikkeller but that had to travel a long ways to get to shelves and had a much higher price point.

Artic Dekoorc Eert pours out a hazy golden color with a finger of foam that leaves nice lacing. The smell is slight orange with bread and caramel. The flavor is balanced between light malt sweetness and a moderate amount of that orange cattiness Citra hops are known for. Not a hop bomb by any means. Carbonation is low and the mouthfeel is creamy. A surprisingly sessionable IPA with some unique hop character is my take on this one off beer.
